I’m probably going for an autopsy tomorrow and straight after that, will be off to
Attended the grand round on Friday. The lecture was by Dr. Mike Ryan who has worked with the WHO for the last ten years and is also a past graduate of NUIG. “Epidemics and emerging disease – a threat to global security”. According to Prof C0rmican, he was one of the people who jump out of helicopters, giving medical aid, one of the first to arrive at an outbreak… although now, he does headquarters work *hint hint*.
“And Mike, before I thank you for the talk, I’d like you, as a representative of the WHO, to tell them that PROPER HANDWASHING IS VERY, VERY IMPORTANT.” C0rmican
“OK, I’ll endorse it. Important. Gloves too. Before, people used to think that washing hands are like house-wife-y things and they pooh-poohed at people who do. Now, it’s different.” M. Ry@n
“But they still do that to me!” C0rmican
All I can say is, it was GREAT. Never before seen such passion.
