She’s trying ever so hard to ignore him. but it’s doubtful that what she’s doing is working. she sees him everywhere… in the computer suite, walking down the corridor, munching on a piece of pastry in the cafe… It’s getting harder and harder for her to ignore the fact that he’ll be staying here for good.
she’d blush furiously whenever he’s within 10 feet of her. and it’s not helping when her so-called friends keep on reminding her about him. nudging her whenever he’s around. it’s like they’re school kids again. giggling, grinning, but then, acting nonchalant in front of him. is that considered hypocrisy? and is that how you spell hypocrisy? (really bad at spelling. couldn’t even spell ‘receive’ back in school, during the spelling B thing. but that’s another story)
they had just finished the last lecture of the day. past the outpatients department, they stumbled across a treasure trove of empty boxes. Just boxes you say? not just any old mouldy box, they’re super tough cardboard ones, with not a dent in any one of em. in @rgos, boxes like those are sold for a hefty price of 6o euros! and i’m not kidding here. used for moving houses and such. eh, sidetracking again.
The trio were conspiring on whether to smuggle the boxes home or to ask someone. one of them said that they’re just boxes. no one would miss them. as they were busily pondering on the best solution to that very tough problem, one thing happened. out of the corner of her eye, she saw someone who looked vaguely familiar… rounding the corner… sauntering towards them, a bottle of orange juice in his hand.
it was him. one of her friends smiled at her, raised her eyebrows questioningly… are you going to ignore him? she merely turned the other way and as he passed, she heard him humming. maybe she was mistaken, but he seemed to smile shyly at them. maybe he was smiling to himself. he reached the exit and paused a while. he was holding the door open for them, looking expectantly. but they just stood there, talking earnestly about boxes, ignoring him.
he was still smiling.
but then, he’s always smiling.
it’s just a little crush.
and this is a totally pointless entry. just to tease you Dee (not your real name, in order to protect you from the vultures out there).
